Introducing Sam Flagg, a bass guitar maestro, vocal powerhouse, and songwriter whose talents transcend genres with effortless finesse. From Memphis, Tennessee, with roots planted firmly in the soulful depths of blues, R&B, and gospel, Sammy is a dynamic force to be reckoned within the realms of jazz, country, funk, and beyond.

At the age of 15, Sam found his calling as a bass player within the gospel church, where the musical tradition of excellence forms the foundation of popular music exported worldwide. Fueled by hunger for musical expression, he honed his craft, laying the groundwork for a career destined to dazzle and inspire.

Drawing inspiration from Victor Wooten, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, and a familial connection to the legendary Tina Turner, Sam weaves a tapestry of influences into his own unique signature groove. Sam has played with Rickey Lynn Gregg, Seventh Sundown, County Line and blues at Rum Boogie Cafe on Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee.

For over two decades, Sam has been the bass player and background vocalist for the acclaimed Mickey Utley Band, a musical journey that has taken him around the world.
